Sean Smith has carved out a relatively successful music career since showing up on our screens in 2007 in the fourth series of ITV’s 'The X Factor'. Smith’s inoffensive tracks have filled a niche gap in the marketplace for hummable, camp disco-
pop, and his latest collaboration is much of the same.
'Verona', a collaboration with Peter Wilson, is an up-tempo dance number composed by Sven Löhmus and has a gloriously synthetic vibe that lends itself to a Bee Gees-ish shout-out to The Pet Shop Boys’ electro pop.
'Verona' is the ultimate in mega-cheese but manages to pull off being an earnest summer dance anthem for the G-A-Y crowd.
It won’t be to everyone’s taste, but if you’re a fan of Kylie Minogue’s 'Your Disco Needs You', 'Verona' will be right up your street.
